Sergio Garcia has earned an exemption to play in The Open Championship at Royal Portrush thanks to his standing on the LIV Tour. The 45-year-old Spaniard, who failed to qualify for the last two Opens after playing every year from 1998 through 2022,

Fireballs GC captain Sergio Garcia earned the coveted LIV Golf Open Championship exemption following LIV Golf Dallas.

Garcia tied for 68th in 2022, the last time he played the Open. He had played in every Open from 1998 to 2002 and while he's never won it, he has a pair of runner-up finishes. He's only missed the cut in the British Open four times over the years.
