Tropical Storm Andrea has dissipated after holding its title less than 24 hours, according to the National Hurricane Center. Forecasters said Andrea, which on Tuesday became the first named storm of 2025 in the Atlantic, degenerated to a remnant low late Tuesday night.

Tropical Storm Andrea, the first named system of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, has formed in the Central Atlantic. As of 11 a.m., Andrea was located about 1,205 miles west of the Azores, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and higher gusts. The storm was moving east-northeast at 17 mph and was not expected to threaten any land areas.
