Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton underwent successful surgery Monday to repair his Achilles after suffering the devastating injury during his team's Game 7 NBA Finals loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said his All-Star is in great spirits, acknowledging the message he sent out in addition to a direct conversation.

Tyrese Haliburton has no regrets about trying to lead the Indiana Pacers to the franchise’s first NBA title, even though his decision to play hurt ended in agony when he tore his right Achilles tendon early in Game 7.

"He's given everything he has to give effort to play that game and Mother Nature gave us a graphic demonstration of kind of product failure."
