Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe powered the Philadelphia 76ers to a 121–114 victory over Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night, stepping up once again with Joel Embiid sidelined.

The Sixers announced on Thursday that Maxey will return after a two-game absence. The team did so by not including Maxey on the official injury report for the Knicks game. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, the All-Star guard should be back in his usual spot in the starting lineup against New York.
