The San Diego Padres are headed home for the offseason. They couldn't muster any offense behind the inspired pitching of Yu Darvish and lost to the rival Los Angeles Dodgers 2-0 in the decisive Game 5 of their NL Division Series.

San Diego will send Yu Darvish to the mound while Los Angeles will have rookie Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitching in front of the home crowd. Darvish (7-3, 3.31 ERA) and Yamamoto (7-2, 3.00 ERA) both have excellent arms and will attempt to win the series for their squads.

The showdown between Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Yoshinobu Yamamoto and San Diego Padres veteran Yu Darvish in Game 5 of the NLDS on Friday will mark the first matchup between Japanese-born pitchers in MLB postseason history.
