Even though not every character from past Scream movies will appear in this one, one surprising name has now been confirmed. A character who most people felt was impossible is set to return, but this new addition to the cast risks making Scream 7 messy.

Scream is still one of the most iconic and talked-about horror franchises in the slasher genre. Even if you’re not into horror, you’ve probably heard of Ghostface, and with each movie, there’s a new killer behind the mask.

Scream 7 will mark the returns of several characters, including Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard), Roman Bridger (Scott Foley), and Dewey Riley (David Arquette). How they will factor into the plot of the movie is unclear — Deadline notes the trio of characters are “returning in a surprise way.”

Stu Macher, Roman Bridger, and Dewey Riley are coming back to Scream 7 along with several other legacy characters, and maybe these ones could, too.
