Sixteen teams in total make the NBA playoffs, eight teams from both the Eastern and Western Conference. The top six seeds in each conference advance based on the regular season record. The final two seeds in each conference are determined by the NBA Play-In Tournament.

The second round has started out with a series of upsets on the road, showing things are even at the top of the NBA.

The Wolves, like the Pacers, have reached the conference finals for the second year in a row. They closed out their series by winning four straight games against the Warriors, who lost Stephen Curry to a hamstring strain in Game 1. Indiana will host Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals on May 21.
