NYPD Harbor Unit officers responded to the waters near the Brooklyn Bridge around 6 a.m., where they found the unidentified body floating in the current.
The first of the recovered bodies was found by the NYPD’s Harbor Unit around 6 a.m. in the vicinity of South Street and Fulton Street in Manhattan, a spokesperson for the NYPD said.
First responders, including the NYPD Harbor Unit, recovered the body of an unidentified man floating in the East River near E. 34th St. in Manhattan around 7 p.m., cops and the FDNY said.
The NYPD Harbor Unit responded to the scene and recovered the unidentified man from the water, the spokesperson said. The man was transported to Pier 26 where he was pronounced deceased.
The NYPD Harbor Unit discovered the child's body. The identity has yet to be confirmed, but the source says the child is thought to be Montrell Williams.
