The Arizona Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals meet up in Omaha on Sunday with their NCAA Men’s College World Series hopes on the line in the first elimination game of the tournament. Both teams had high hopes coming into the Men’s College World Series, but found themselves on the losing end of a couple of tough battles.

The second day of the 2025 College World Series saw the four teams in Bracket Two take their first step towards advancing to the championship series. This comes after Coastal Carolina and Oregon State took a major step forward on opening day while Arizona and Louisville were sent to the brink of elimination.

After losing a 3-1 lead in the top of the ninth, Oregon State walked it off with a Gavin Turley hit at the College World Series vs. Louisville.

To get to the College World Series, teams had to win at least five games over two weekends without losing more than once each round. Three of the eight qualifiers swept their way to Omaha, while one (Oregon State) had to play eight times to secure a spot.
