Gaza The release of three Israeli hostages, seemingly in relatively good health, was welcomed joyously in Israel on Saturday morning after a tense week during which the ceasefire deal that secured their freedom appeared on the brink of collapse.

The six Israelis were the last living captives set to be released in the first phase of the cease-fire. The agreement, strained for weeks, has an uncertain future.
