David Fry had a career-high four RBIs, Gavin Williams struck out 11 and the Cleveland Guardians defeated the Athletics 8-2 to take the weekend series.

The Guardians jumped in front with a pair of early runs and Gavin Williams recorded 11 strikeouts in seven innings.

The Guardians may well be sellers at the trade deadline this season. Cleveland sits 12 games behind the Tigers in the American League Central and 4.5 games back in the Wild Card chase. They won six of their final ten heading into the Break which has them positioned squarely on the fence in terms of buying or selling at the deadline.

Shea Langeliers, Jacob Wilson and Nick Kurtz homered in the final two innings to help the Athletics pull away for an 8-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.
