The countdown for the 2025 NFL Draft is now under 10 days, which means it's time to take a closer look at teams' current draft pick war chests and figure their best path forward in just over a week's time.

As the 2025 NFL draft nears, there is an increasing feeling based on the interview process that the Dallas Cowboys are focusing on finding a wide receiver with the No. 12 pick to complement their WR1, CeeDee Lamb. Dallas is also in the market for a running back and a cornerback, and, like everyone, can use more edge rushers.

Schoonmaker appears to be on the fast-track to becoming another Cowboys early-round tight end draft bust, joining the likes of David LaFleur, Gavin Escobar and Anthony Fasano, all of whom were selected in the first two rounds and none of whom got even close to the 1,000-yard receiving mark (total) with Dallas.
