A tornado watch was issued for 22 Central and South Florida counties Wednesday, as Hurricane Milton approaches.

The National Weather Service confirmed Friday that an EF-3 tornado touched down during inclement weather on Wednesday in Palm Beach County.

In its report Friday, the Weather Service reiterated that the tornado was a powerful EF-3 that hit Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens.
