When the Brooklyn Nets acquired the 22nd overall pick earlier this week as the third team in the Celtics-Hawks trade that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Atlanta, they suddenly found themselves with five of the 30 first-round picks going into Wednesday night.

The Brooklyn Nets set an NBA draft record on Wednesday by using five first-round picks. Per David Suggs of Sporting News, the previous record was four first-round picks, set by the 1990 Sacramento Kings and the 2009 Minnesota Timberwolves.
