Williams is in the final year of his deal after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. He's also scored 26 touchdowns since 2023. He and the Rams are negotiating a new deal this year, but that doesn't mean the two sides will agree on a number before the end of the season.

Jackson was fourth in the annual QB rankings from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, which are based on input from NFL coaches, executives and scouts. At least one respondent had him as low as sixth. The 28-year-old received plenty of high praise.

Among qualifying passers, only Patrick Mahomes has a better quarterback rating since 2018, the year Jackson arrived as a first-round draft pick. Only Mahomes and fellow NFL MVP Josh Allen have more combined wins during that span.
