Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has distanced himself from Elon Musk and Sam Altman's dispute about funding for the President Trump-backed Stargate project.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has bashed OpenAI CEO Sam Altman for this project as he once again blamed him for playing a game with the intention to make money. Musk emphasised that this comes in contrast to Altman’s vision that he shared with him for an open-source project, non-profit AI organisation.

OpenAI and Microsoft have hit back at Elon Musk’s criticism of Stargate, the new $500bn artificial intelligence infrastructure project hailed by Donald Trump as a “resounding declaration of confidence in America’s potential under a new president”.

A new company called Stargate, which combines some of the largest names in the artificial intelligence industry, was announced by President Donald Trump.

Under the Trump administration, OpenAI and other members of the tech sector are making a push to establish AI dominance in the U.S.

OpenAI announced a new joint venture named The Stargate Project which aims to build a number of data centers for AI in the U.S.
