New ‘Street Fighter’ live-action movie already has its Chun-Li and fans are pleased
Liang joins a cast already filled with big names, including Jason Momoa, wrestling superstar Roman Reigns, and others like Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and Orville Peck. Directing the project is Kitao Sakurai, known for Twisted Metal, The Eric Andre Show, and Aardvark, and no stranger to adapting video game-inspired content.
Street Fighter Movie: Jason Momoa cast as Blanka, 50 Cent as Balrog
Country singer Orville Peck will play Vega in the movie, while Joe Anoa’I – aka WWE superstar Roman Reign – has been cast as Akuma, and martial artist-actor Andrew Koji as Ryu. Callina Liang (Presence) is playing Chun-Li, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
