The United States paused shipments of air-defense interceptors and other weapons bound for Ukraine, opting instead to redirect the equipment to bolster American military stockpiles, according to the Trump administration and congressional aides cited by multiple news sources.

Ukraine is moving forward with plans for joint weapons production with allies while the U.S. halts some arms shipments.

Malcolm Chalmers, deputy director-general of the Royal United Services Institute military think tank, told CBS News in March that about 20% of Ukraine's military hardware is supplied by the U.S., with 25% provided by Europe and the rest of the world, and 55% produced in Ukraine.
