What are the prospects for career advancement as a prosecutor?

The reason I say 10 is because if you're already at 15 years in as a prosecutor, you might want to stay until 20+ for the pension. And at that point you're probably a prosecutor for life. Criminal defense can be lucrative, but it has its cons as well. Most criminal defense firms are small.

I still secure a high amount of guilty pleas and always win at trial just pursue less prison time.
