Dec 16, 2021 · The icon did not exactly match any that showed up in an image search for "Word Icon". I only found a couple approximate matches, but one was on a Mac site, none on windows. The closest I've found is this one on a chinese site. I also found another similar, but not identical on a Mac question forum. The yellow blob looks like maybe a file box.

I want to send a document to someone and i dont want to attach several files to the mail but would rather have the document within the excel file as an icon so that when that person clicks on the icon, the document appears. Please note that I have PDF, word & other file formats to attach.

Of course, after I installed Microsoft 365, the word files that I sent to the desktop had the "Microsoft Word" icon. Mar 14, 2016 · All of my Word document files show an Internet Explorer icon instead of the Word icon. This may mean that Internet Explorer is being used to open the documents, but I don't know how to change it. My other Office files have the correct icon. I am using Windows 8.1. Oct 12, 2013 · A grey coloured X on the bottom left hand corner of my docx, excel and adobe document icons. Today, I have found in some old files that I have a small yellow padlock showing on the top right hand corner of the document icons. I can however open these documents so they are not locked as the yellow padlock would suggest.
