Happy Enkutatash /Ethiopian and Eritrean New Year! Enkutatash (እንቁጣጣሽ) is the New Year holiday in Ethiopia and Eritrea. It occurs on Meskerem 1 on the Ethiopian calendar, which is 11 September (or, during a leap year, 12 September) according to the Gregorian calendar. Today, our students wrote wishes for the new year on paper petals and added them to the flower called "Adey Abeba," a unique yellow flower that grows for Ethiopian New Year, and is a symbol of the holiday. | Carlos Rosario Internat
