The Trump administration is writing a rule that would let some married families get federal child care money even if one parent stays home. The program is called the Child Care and Development Fund. Right now it mostly pays for outside daycare. It serves about 1.3 million children and costs about 9,000 dollars per child each year. About 80 percent of those families are led by a single working parent.
