In the spirit of our rebellious streak tonight, when Sidney Poitier started working on BLACKBOARD JUNGLE ('55), he was called to the front office by the studio lawyer who wanted him to sign a loyalty oath to the government, as he was concerned about Poitier's activism and association with blacklisted actors.
