In the summer of 1940, German military intelligence, known as the Abwehr, launched Operation Lena. This mission aimed to infiltrate Britain with spies and saboteurs in preparation for the planned invasion called Operation Sea Lion. The idea was to gather intelligence and sabotage British defenses.
