Swapo Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa said today that a review of all party income and expenditure records, dating back to the tenures of her predecessors, found no internal evidence to support the claims raised by refugees camping outside the party’s national headquarters. She said this informed the decision to engage the United Nations, which today met with the demonstrators alongside Swapo officials to address long-standing grievances linked to the 1989 repatriation of liberation struggle
